Sjogren’s syndrome is a chronic autoimmune disorder in which the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks its own moisture-producing glands, primarily the salivary and lacrimal glands, leading to persistent dry mouth and dry eyes. Beyond glandular involvement, the condition can affect multiple organs, causing joint pain, fatigue, skin rashes, lung or kidney problems, and sometimes neuropathy.
