Microscopic Polyangiitis (MPA)

Microscopic Polyangiitis (MPA) is a rare autoimmune disorder characterized by inflammation of small blood vessels (vasculitis) throughout the body. The inflammation can damage vital organs, most commonly the kidneys and lungs, leading to symptoms such as kidney problems (blood or protein in the urine), shortness of breath, cough, fatigue, fever, muscle or joint pain, and sometimes skin rashes.
