Lupus Nephritis

Lupus nephritis is a complication of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in which the immune system attacks the kidneys, causing inflammation and damage. This can lead to symptoms such as swelling in the legs or around the eyes, high blood pressure, foamy urine from protein loss, and blood in the urine, although some patients may have no noticeable symptoms early on.
