Eosinophilic Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (EGPA)

Eosinophilic Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (EGPA), formerly known as Churg-Strauss syndrome, is a rare autoimmune condition characterized by inflammation of small- to medium-sized blood vessels (vasculitis) and high levels of eosinophils, a type of white blood cell. EGPA often develops in people with a history of asthma or allergies and can affect multiple organs, including the lungs, skin, nerves, heart, and gastrointestinal tract. Symptoms vary but may include worsening asthma, sinus problems, skin rashes, numbness or tingling in the limbs, fatigue, and weight loss.
