Eosinophilic Asthma
Eosinophilic asthma is a severe form of asthma characterized by high levels of eosinophils, a type of white blood cell that contributes to airway inflammation. This inflammation can cause frequent asthma symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, coughing, and chest tightness, often despite standard asthma treatments. It typically develops in adults and may not be linked to common allergies. People with eosinophilic asthma often experience recurrent flare-ups and may also have chronic sinus issues or nasal polyps.
