Asthma
Asthma is a chronic respiratory condition in which the airways become inflamed, swollen, and narrowed, making it difficult to breathe. This inflammation can cause symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing, especially at night or early in the morning. Asthma symptoms often occur in episodes, or “attacks,” which can be triggered by allergens, exercise, cold air, respiratory infections, smoke, or stress.
